Instead of teaching a fun craft, I had the opportunity to teach the cooking class at the school today! What fun to teach the kids how to make deviled eggs and tell an Easter story.
6 hard-cooked eggs, halved lengthwise
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons mustard ½ teaspoon dill
Remove egg yolks. Mash, and combine with remaining ingredients. Refill egg whites, using pastry tube if desired. Chill.
while the eggs were boiling, I told the kids the story of The Egg Tree by Katherine Milhous. it’s a really cute story but it made me wish that we were painting eggs instead cooking with them!
