Shooting Star Felted Balls

On  Monday, we went to my sister’s house to kick off the begining of our Michaelmas week.   During circle time, Beth told the story of Archangel Michael, and taught us the song   A Boy’s Resolve  (found in the clump-a-dump and snickle-snack song book … by Johanne Russ)

After lunch it was time to make our felted balls to use for the shooting stars at our Michaelmas celebration.  We ran out of time to dye them together (had to pick up my other two girls from school) So we did ours that evening here at home.

We brought home lots of sunflower heads from Beth’s house to use.  I used the same method that Beth used in her post HERE using  sunflower petals and Tumeric.

cute, huh?!

About Missy

I'm a wife to an awesome Army vet, and mother to four daughters and three step-sons! I love to sew. I learned to sew in 4H, and from my Oma while staying with her for a week or two in the summers as a young girl. I love to bake desserts. I would love to live on lots of land and own lots of animals. I've always been drawn to nature which has lead me towards a more natural and healthy lifestyle which I'm finally trying to bring back into my life, and those precious lives around me.
